you are right, it looks like he could be a stout Lancastrian, especially from Bolton, forgot to tell you both Arnold and me were born there. We lived at one time not far from James.

Must add that Arnold's family comes from Haythornthwaite nr Lancaster originally. Mine from Devon & Cornwall.
