you do have a couple of decent (canal) size rods you can bring over when you visit? seeing as the bridgewater canal is... oh about 20 metres away from my new front door. ;p nerr!! (the mersey is also less than a mile away.) :-)

i am expecting some first class tuition on canal/river fishing which i have never done!! (bar devon when i was about 8 years old). i think i have fished once, with you in anglesea about 18 months ago and prior to that it must be at least 6/7 years since.

yup, this summer i is mostly going to be sitting outside my house with a fishing rod. speaking of which, you think it is legal to pass the fish to me missus to cook or am i supposed to chuck em back.... or, will they be too radioactive lol.

Hi Stuart,

I am always surprised the new culvert under the new market place takes the water, I remember the Croal flooding Bolton town centre in the 60s, when one of the culverts either blocked or collapsed.

I think we are all looking forward to some sunshine.

enjoyed your brother's under water photos.

The Ramblers.

"The weather has been a bit breezy lately with strong gales and heavy rain battering the coastline up and down the country"

well, that is putting it somewhat mildy innit. two cars got wiped out in works carpark yesterday due to falling roof tiles. it was like armageddon with people legging around avoiding falling debris to move their cars onto the road. didn't giggle once honest. ;p then there was a power outage at 2pm so we all went home anyway, which was a real shame =D
